Vegetation Management

The Public Works Department owns 2 types of roadside mowers to perform roadside vegetation management along Township roads.  The mowing is completed at least 3 times per year to help control vegetation so that roads and intersections are safer for vehicles and pedestrians to use.  The crew also conducts periodic limb trimming and trims along guiderails and at intersections as needed.  However, please note that it is ultimately a property owners responsibility to maintain trees, shrubs and other vegetation on their property to stay in compliance with Township ordinances.  Please see Chapter 130 (Nuisance Ordinance) on the Townships website for the complete details.

❄️ Winter Storm Safety Notice ❄️

A winter storm is expected to impact the area this weekend, and Dickinson Township’s Public Works Department will be actively working to treat and clear Township roads. Crews will continue operations as conditions allow to keep roadways as safe and passable as possible.

Residents are asked to please:
• Avoid unnecessary travel during the storm
• Use caution if travel is necessary
• Give plow trucks plenty of space to do their work
• Be patient, as road conditions may change quickly and our crews are working hard to keep the roads open

Your cooperation will help keep our crew and fellow residents safe. Thank you to our Public Works team for their dedication and to the community for your understanding.
Please stay safe and warm. ☃️
