The Public Works Department owns 2 types of roadside mowers to perform roadside vegetation management along Township roads. The mowing is completed at least 3 times per year to help control vegetation so that roads and intersections are safer for vehicles and pedestrians to use. The crew also conducts periodic trim trimming and trims along guiderails and at intersections as needed. However, please note that it is ultimately a property owners responsibility to maintain trees, shrubs and other vegetation on their property to stay in compliance with Township ordinances. Please see Chapter 130 (Nuisance Ordinance) on the Townships website for the complete details.
