DICKINSON TOWNSHIP
PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Supervisors of Dickinson Township, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, will hold a public hearing to consider for adoption an Ordinance entitled and summarized hereinafter, at a special public meeting to be held on September 8, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., at the Dickinson Township Municipal Building. A vote for enactment at its special meeting will immediately follow the hearing. The title of the proposed Ordinance is:

AN ORDINANCE OF DICKINSON TOWNSHIP, CUMBERLAND COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA, AMENDING CHAPTER 205 – “ZONING” OF THE CODE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF DICKINSON TO ADD ADDITIONAL DEFINITIONS TO SECTION 205-12, AMEND 205-13, 205-14, 205-16, 205-17, 205-18 AND ADD NEW SECTION 205-120, ENTITLED “DATA CENTERS AND BATTERY ENERGY STORAGE SYSTEMS” TO CREATE REGULATIONS PERTAINING TO THE USE OF DATA CENTERS AND BATTERY ENERGY STORAGE SYSTEMS WITHIN DICKINSON TOWNSHIP.

Following the public hearing, the Board of Supervisors may vote to enact said proposed ordinance.

A summary of the proposed Ordinance is as follows:

Amending the Dickinson Township Zoning Ordinance to define and add specific requirements for Data Centers and Battery Energy Storage Systems, to provide the zoning districts in the Township where those uses shall be permitted, and to provide when this Ordinance shall be effective. All other aspects of the Code of the Township of Dickinson are to remain the same, provisions of the Ordinance are severable, and certain ordinances or parts thereof inconsistent with this Ordinance are repealed.

The full text of the proposed Ordinance may be examined at the Dickinson Township Municipal Building, 219 Mountain View Road, Mt. Holly Springs, Pennsylvania 17065, during regular business hours. A copy of the proposed Ordinance has been filed with the newspaper publishing this notice.

NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING

Pursuant to the Act of July 3, 1986, No. 84, known as the “Sunshine Act”, the Board of Supervisors of Dickinson Township hereby gives notice that they will hold a Special Meeting on Tuesday, September 8, 2026 at 6:00 PM, which will be held at the Dickinson Township Municipal Building, 219 Mountain View Road, Mount Holly Springs, PA 17065.

The purpose of this meeting is for the consideration of Ordinance 2026-03, which amends Chapter 205, Zoning, of the Code of the Township of Dickinson regarding regulations applicable to Data Centers and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and to take any official action related thereto.
